A last-minute week on Mexico’s Riviera Maya that was meant to involve very little beyond the pool. Naturally, we hired a car, floated through mangroves at Xel-Há, revisited Tulum 25 years on, encountered more wildlife than expected and discovered that even a quiet holiday can become quietly adventurous.
